How Our Own RAMS Software Went From Near Zero to 1,220 Google Clicks a Month

swiftRMS is our own product: AI software that writes RAMS for UK contractors. It launched in September 2025 on a brand-new domain with almost no search presence. By September 2026 it was earning 1,220 clicks a month from Google, at an average position of 8.8.

The Business

swiftRMS is software we built and run ourselves. It writes RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) for UK construction, security and facilities contractors from a plain-English description of the job.

Because it is our own product, every figure on this page comes straight from its Google Search Console, and we can show the whole curve rather than one good month.

The Challenge

The RAMS market is crowded. There are established tools such as HandsHQ and RAMS App, template sellers, the HSE’s own guidance, and a wave of new AI tools that launched through 2026.

swiftRMS went live in September 2025 on a brand-new domain with no links pointing to it. In December 2025 it earned 4 clicks from Google.

The Strategy

We built the site around how contractors actually search. Searches for “RAMS software” are small but valuable; searches for templates and how-to guidance are large. So the SEO work went where the demand is, and every page leads to the product:

  • A free templates hub for risk assessments and method statements, the searches with the most demand.
  • Trade pages for the jobs contractors write RAMS for, from electrical installation to excavation and trenching.
  • Practical guides on COSHH, safe systems of work, construction phase plans and site inductions, each written to answer the question in its first few lines.
  • Comparison pages for buyers weighing up the alternatives, which is also what AI assistants quote when asked which tool to use.
  • Technical foundations: a clean structure, schema and internal links, so new pages are found and indexed quickly.

The Results

Clicks and impressions from Google, by month (Search Console):

MonthClicksImpressionsAverage position
December 2025427
January 2026622,61933.0
March 202614714,11320.2
June 202652554,24211.3
September 20261,220126,1308.8
  • From 4 to 1,220 clicks a month in nine months, and 20 times the January figure.
  • Page 1 for “risk assessment template”, a search made around 9,900 times a month in the UK.
  • The templates hub alone brings in about a fifth of all clicks.
  • AI assistants now recommend swiftRMS: it was named in more than half of our October 2026 test questions about RAMS software across ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity.

What Made the Difference

Demand first. We went after the searches contractors actually make in volume, templates and how-to guidance, rather than chasing a handful of small software terms.

Pages that lead somewhere. Every template and guide links to the product, so traffic turns into people trying the software.

Compounding. Each new trade page and guide strengthens the ones before it. The growth has come month on month, not in one spike, and the same approach is what we bring to clients.
